Press Release: 5 Alarm Applications Releases iPhone app for Recording Exposures

5 Alarm Applications™  recently announced their public release of the 5 Alarm iPhone®, iPad® and iPod touch® application

Exposure Recorder App

. The 5 Alarm Exposure Recorder allows first-responders and healthcare professionals to document biological, chemical, environmental, and diesel exposures directly from the application.

“My coworkers and I began to neglect our exposure reports because of the tedious completion process.  We wanted to create an exposure recording system that streamlined the process so first responders could easily log the pertinent information.  The goal is that the 5 alarm exposure recorder will incentivize others to take the necessary steps to protect ourselves and our families,” said Brad Hopper, Firefighter and 5 Alarm’s creator. “It’s great seeing our peers, who never used to record their exposures, recording every exposure because of the convenience of our application.”

The process of recording exposures is so easy and efficient it can be done while on a work break, between seeing patients, or on the way back from an emergency response. Past exposures can be backdated and will be sent to an email account of your choice, in addition to being stored in our secure database. A helpful monthly reminder will be sent to your phone for recording diesel exposures. Diesel exposures can be effortlessly recorded on a calendar that pops up as soon as you log in.

5 Alarm Applications was founded by a team of four firefighters committed to creating mobile applications designed to help Firefighters and EMT’s perform their jobs more efficiently, protecting themselves and fulfilling their duties while on the go.
