Boston Marathon Race Preview

Monday morning I will join more than 27,000 other runners on the famous marathon route from Hopkington to Boston.

Start

I am grateful for the invitational entry I received and looking forward to the challenge and reward of Boston! I am starting about 10:40 in Wave 3 Corral 5 with other invitational entrants. Thus there will be a lot of people in front of me and potentially a lot of people to pass.

Time in Boston

I arrived in Boston Saturday afternoon. I am mostly going to lay low, rest, and eat. Sunday I will visit the expo and maybe drive a bit of the course.

Marathon App

There is a marathon app if you want to track me (bib #22515 ) or other runners.  Links to the Apple iOS and Android version.

Training

Because of the long, cold, snow, and ice winter we have experienced in central Wisconsin I have done more running than ever on a treadmill at the Y. At the race start I will probably catch myself looking for some of my Y running campaigns.

This training cycle has gone quite well for me. I feel fit, fast, and healthy.

Post Race

After the race I will write and post a race recap.

Good Luck to All Runners!
