1st Anniversary for EverydayEMSTips.com

One year ago today I made the first post to EverydayEMSTips.com. At the time my vision was to share tips, resources, study aids, and publish ebooks for professionals, students, and educators. Over time my vision has grown to include product reviews, feature posts from guest bloggers, and the medical author chat podcast.

Thanks!

I appreciate all of you that take time each day to read and share content at EverydayEMSTips.com. I welcome you to continue sharing posts through Facebook, Twitter, and other social networks. Thanks to reader efforts my month-to-month page views regularly increase. Thanks.

I am especially gratefully to those of you that have contributed posts to this blog. Guest posts, like this one on teaching kids CPR, are among the most popular posts each week. Other guest posts on smartphone app reviews are frequently linked to and shared. Event reviews, like this one of the Big National Conference for Small and Medium EMS services share first-hand accounts of events to a wider audience. I always welcome and appreciate guest blog posts.

Make sure and leave me a comment about how I can make EverydayEMSTips.com more helpful to you. Suggest topics, ask questions, and share ideas.

Change in the Year to Come

In the weeks to come I am going to announce some big changes that will impact EverydayEMSTips.com – for the better I believe. Posts are likely to come out a little less frequently, maybe three to five times a week instead of daily. I will probably be writing a few posts that are a bit more personal as I try to consolidate my blogging and online presence here. Lots of exciting changes ahead that I will be sharing with you soon.

Tell your Friends, Colleagues, and Students

As I look at the stats for this blog it is obvious that most of the visitors are coming through referrals. Links from blog rolls, school websites, Facebook shares, and even forwarded emails lead to the most new readers. I am honored and flattered that so many of you find this blog valuable enough to share. Thanks.

The Numbers

Blogs seem to be evaluated two ways – the quality of the content and the quantity of readers. Generally I would like more readers and for them to view more pages while they are here. Please stay and share!

Quality is subjective and tough to measure. This post on Going Through the Motions is the post I am most proud of writing. In the last 12 months EverydayEMSTips.com has had:
