Announcement: EMS World Expo 2011

Registration Now Open for August 29-September 1 in Las Vegas

EMS World Expo is one of my favorite EMS events. Each year Expo brings together the best presenters, exhibits, and social activities for an international EMS audience. I am honored to have been selected to present at EMS World Expo 2011. My sessions:

Trends in Online Emergency Responder Education

Online education continues to be the most dynamic and fastest-growing component of emergency responder education. Education programs are migrating from the desktop computer to iPads and smartphones, and simulation experiences are being integrated into elearning. This session will discuss emerging trends in online emergency responder education and suggest how to evaluate tools and technologies for your organization.

Social Media: A Tool for Marketing your Agency

Social media and networking offer low-cast and easy-to-use tools for EMS agencies to market to policy-makers, citizens, current employees and prospective employees. In this cutting-edge session, Greg will discuss Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, geolocation services, blogging, podcasting and more, and will show you how to differentiate between using social media to broadcast versus using it to engage. There will be ample time for questions and answers about social media best practices and privacy concerns. All class attendees will receive a copy of the ebook “Social Media Policy Guide for First Responder Agencies.”
