Greg Friese, MS, NRP

Hi, I’m Greg Friese, MS, NRP. I’m a paramedic and educator based in central Wisconsin. I created Everyday EMS Tips as a practical notebook for EMS professionals who want clear, field-ready guidance, without the fluff.

My work sits at the intersection of incident analysis, how-to guidance, and research-to-practice. I care about education that respects your time: concise, actionable, and designed for how EMS actually works — on shift, under pressure, with imperfect information.

Over my career, I’ve helped training officers and educators design, distribute, and facilitate rapid e-learning for emergency responders and I’ve collaborated with subject matter experts to build online education that’s useful, engaging, and easy to apply.

I’m also a frequent webinar moderator and digital learning producer, and I’m especially interested in how new technology, including generative AI, can improve clinical and operational performance when implemented thoughtfully.

I occasionally post here (this isn’t a daily blog). When I do, expect:

  • practical tips you can use immediately
  • training/education ideas for EMS leaders and instructors
  • tools, books, and resources worth your attention
  • lessons learned from real incidents and near-misses

I previously co-hosted the award-winning EMSEduCast podcast and have written for EMS education and industry outlets, including EMS1 and others. If you’re looking for a longer view of my current work, you can find me on LinkedIn.
