I just read a really interesting article about Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement in the Vital Connections newsletter which is a quarterly publication for EMS providers from Ministry Health Care. Unfortunately the Vital Connections articles is not online, but the procedure inserts a bovine valve and metal stent in the aortic valve space through a catheterization process. Fascinating!
