Encounters on the Road (aka adventures in posting)

On a recent 12 hour shift we traveled more than 200 miles, posted at three different roadside locations, and did in station coverage at four different stations. Since we had a new hire I spent most of the day sitting in the back of the ambulance until we had a patient and then I would drive. Other than the steady of infusion CO I inhaled for most of the day I was OK with the arrangements. Especially since the new hire was dynamite.

At the 10 hour mark the day was saved from being so so and elevated to outstanding when we had a most excellent on the road encounter … the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile.

Have you ever had an unexpected and delightful on the road encounter during your posting adventures? Maybe a celebrity sighting? Share in the comments.
