LinkedIn Endorsement Notifications – Turn Them Off!

I welcome and appreciate your invitations to connect on LinkedIn. If you have a mention of EMS, education, elearning, or healthcare in your profile I will almost always accept your invitation.

I also appreciate the professional skills that many of my LinkedIn connections have endorsed me as having. This new feature has led to a steady stream of emails announcing each endorsement. Knowing several people that have deleted their profiles rather than be inundated with endorsement emails I thought I would try to discover how to turn off LinkedIn endorsement notifications.

Once I found these Linked email notification settings instructions it was pretty easy.

According to the help page, “You will receive email notifications for skill endorsements from your connections by default. To change these notifications:

  1. Move your cursor over your name in the upper right of your homepage, and select Settings.
  2. Click Email Preferences on the left side of the screen.
  3. Click the Set the Frequency of Emails link.
  4. Scroll down to Endorsements and select No Email to stop them or Individual Email to restart them.
  5. Click Save Changes.”
