I was watching a presentation about EMS response to MCIs by Steve Kanarian on EMSBootCamp.com the other night and another viewer asked about the availability of the Emergency Response Guidebook as a smartphone app. I asked my Twitter followers and learned that there is an ERG app for the iPhone, Blackberry, and Droid. This is what we found together.

Went to look at the Android-based ERG and the comments left were not encouraging. If the app was free or had the ability to try it before buying it I would, but for now I’ll stick to the one on my truck.

Just stumbled across this thread today.  Sorry for the slow response.

There are at least five Android versions of the ERG2008.  We publish a free version called DOT Placards and a paid upgrade called DOT Placards Plus.  If you go to the Android Market today (from your phone or from the web site) and search for ‘ERG2008′, you should see both our apps and those from the better of our competitors.  (The app to avoid, according to the market comments, is ‘Searchable ERG’.  Note that all the good ERG apps include a search feature.)

      Hope this helps.
