3 Best Improvements to My Home Office

I have long said the Pandora unlimited, commercial free subscription is the best $50 I spend every year. In addition to Pandora, here are the three best home office improvements I made in 2016.

1. Amazon Echo Dot

Even though I purchased the Amazon Echo during the pre-launch introduction sale I was late in considering an Echo Dot for other rooms. I now use the Dot constantly for music, timer, weather, alarms and news updates. I am hopeful 2017 will bring Skills to dictate HipChat messages and Google Voice text messages.

2. Flexispot Sit-Stand Desk

I added the Flexispot to convert my office desk into a standing desk. Side levers allow me to easily adjust the desk height. I am surprised how often I work in the standing position and how rarely I lower the desk to the sitting position. flexispotdesk

3. TrickleStar 7 Power Strip

This device automatically detects when I have powered off my laptop computer and cuts power to all other office devices. Thus saving on the constant delivery of power to inactive devices like my monitor, phone and printer. I am ordering another for the television and DVR.

Do you work from a home office? What are your best home office purchases of 2016?
